The inversion method is non-deterministic. Inversion continues beyond a satisfactorily low misfit level (referencing observed geophysics at set precisions) – exploring & keeping a range of allowable models, and presenting distilled statistics of these, in terms of probabilities of geology-geometries and rock properties.
